Landcare brings people together to care for farms, bushland, coasts, waterways and neighbourhoods. Groups differ in purpose, capacity and governance, but effective work usually combines local relationships, technical knowledge, safe activities, realistic maintenance and monitoring.

A diverse Australian Landcare group works together along a recovering creek, removing weeds, stabilising the bank and planting native vegetation as part of coordinated community-led restoration.
