The Earth Resource Map (ERM) is being developed as a connected global database of natural resources and the environments in which they occur.
It brings together information about plants, animals, fungi, minerals, ecosystems, water and land — connecting species and resources with their environments, uses, risks, conservation needs and supporting evidence.
The vision is to build one reliable foundation of knowledge that people can use to better understand the natural world around them.
